• Carrying out credit check and scoring, debt collection and the provision of credit information to credit agencies;
• Improving our customer service to you;
• Carrying out market and product analysis, and improvements to our products and services;
• Contacting you about our product and services and services of carefully selected third parties which we think may be of interest to you;

Personal information may include your name, address, telephone numbers, email, date of births, driver license details, bank account details, average electricity consumption and information about your property. We collect your information directly from you, via our website or App, social media sites, inbound or outbound calls and surveys.

3. Protecting your personal information

Stack Energy will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete, up-to-date and stored in a secure environment protected from unauthorized access, modification and disclosure. Your personal information will be stored on secure servers. Only authorized person can access our electronic database. We will train our staff on their responsibilities under the Privacy Act and the terms of this policy.

4. Accessing and updating your personal information

You have the right to access personal information about you if we hold that personal information in a way that it can be readily retrieved, subject to some exceptions provided at law.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you by sending an email to info@stackenergy.co.nz. We may require to ask your personal details to access your information.

We will not able to provide you personal information if we do not know or do not have reasonable grounds to believe it is personal information about you or if disclosing the information would involve the unwarranted disclosure of the affairs of another individual.

You can request us to correct or amend your information by sending us an email to info@stackenergy.co.nz. We will take reasonable steps for a change or correction request.

Stack Energy will not disclose, sell or share your personal information with any other person or parties except as set out in this Privacy Policy.

• Meter company or Network company or third parties for the purpose of supplying electricity service to you, carrying out our responsibilities under our Terms and Conditions;
• Debt collection agencies and credit check agency who can use and share your personal information with other organisations;
• Our legal, financial and other professional service advisors;
• To a person who is a joint customer or authority on your account;
• Other electricity retailer (for switching or amendment of meter information);
• Other associated company such as Utilities Dispute Ltd, Electricity Authority;
• District Health Boards and other social agencies (including Work and Income);
• Government agencies or social services;

6. Change to this policy

Stack Energy can change and update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notice you via our web site before 30 days from the commencement date
